Santorini Megaron Gyzi Festival

The Festival of Megaron Gyzi in Santorini: Every summer, the Megaron Gyzi Festival takes place in Gyzi Mansion in the centre of Fira. This festival usually takes place the first three weeks of August, during the peak season of the island, attracting many visitors. Established in 2007, at first Megaron Gyzi Festival hosted various kinds of events, from theatrical performances and lectures to concerts.

Over the last years, the program has focused on art exhibitions and musical concerts, mostly jazz, classical and vocal music. Famous Greek and international musicians and singers are invited to participate in the festival, whose majority of events have free entrance. The artistic director of Megaron Gyzi Festival is the art curator, Yannis Papaconstantinou.
