Santorini Vlychada Beach

General information

Vlychada beach in Santorini is a lovely beach in the southern part of the island. It is equipped with sun loungers and umbrellas. It also boasts a small port where fishing boats and yachts moor in summer.
The area is characterized by two large chimneys. One lies directly behind the beach, and the other is just nearby. The chimneys belong to a factory that does not function anymore. The brick structures are actually quite pleasant to the visitors' eyes

Vlychada itself is rather long and covered with dark grey sand. It is worth gazing at the rock formations behind the beach, which are quite interesting.

The area also hosts some restaurants where you can enjoy local dishes.

    Ah, Vlychada!

    Translated from Italian:

Years and years have passed, but Vlycada is unforgettable. At the time there were five or six umbrellas, behind - right in front of the abandoned factory - the wonderful "Family Tavern" a little battered, of moving beauty, we took the grapes directly from the pergola. There was no marina then, only the cliff with talcum sand. There are places where one should not go back, and not because they have changed or modernized, but because it was too beautiful, too intense and the pilgrimages are always a little sad. But you go there, and stay until the sun goes away.

    Original text:

    Nice beach
Two nice taverns close to this rocky beach. 5 euros for two huge sunchairs with a fixed big parasols is the cheapest we found so far. Nice and quiet.
