For the third year on the row, the Arkadi Association of Cretans in Santorini organizes a raki festival for its members, the residents of the island and any visitor who wants to take part. This festival is like an institution for this active association and aims to bond the relationship between the Cretans and the locals of the island and to make more people aware of the Cretan culture. That is why this event is named Raki Festival, after the famous strong beverage of Crete. This year, the event will take place in Acropolis Restaurant in Perissa, where the Cretan artist Perikles Tzouganakis will play his lyre and sing traditional Cretan songs. Tourists will also find this event interesting and they will have the chance to meet from close the authentic Greek culture.
