Photo exhibition of William Abranowicz

The Municipality of Thera and the Region of South Aegean Islands in cooperation with the Athens House of Photography and the photographer Giorgos Ventouris are presenting for the first time in Santorini the work of the famous American photographer William Abranowicz for Greece. The inauguration of this photo exhibition entitled Photographs from the Greek File took place yesterday evening (Sunday, July 6th) at the cultural venue Estia of Pyrgos, located in the central square of Pyrgos village in Santorini. The exhibition will last until August 15th.
William Abranowicz works on travel and architectural photography for more than 35 year and has cooperated with many maganizes, such as Conde Nast Traveler, Esquire, Vogue, NYT Magazine and Architectural Digest. He has also published two books about Greece: The Greek File and Hellas, Photographs of Modern Greece. This exhibition includes photos from his shootings in Greece from 1988 until 2007.
