Israeli film in the Cinema Club

On Saturday, December 13th, the Cinema Club of Santorini presents the movie The Lemon Tree. The film performance is held in Boutari Winery, Megalochori village, at 8:45 p.m. This is a German-Israeli movie directed by Eran Riklis. It narrares the story of a widow, Salma, who lives alone in the West Bank of Palestine. When the Minister of Defence moves next door, he decides to cut down the big lemon garden as he fears that it could hide terrostist attacks. However, Salma resists to this thought and prosecutes him in court... This political film is based on a simple story but its message is critical. It deals with human relationships, political satire and social differences.
