BEWARE THEIR 48-HOUR CANCELLATION REGULATION! YOU WILL LOSE YOUR 100 EURO DEPOSIT!
I cancelled my dinner reservation 36 hours ahead of time, but the restaurant manager, Pagona Papadaki, repeatedly insisted on enforcing their 48-hour requirement and refused to refund their required deposit. Their explanations were entirely rigid and legalistic--the opposite of hospitable and customer-friendly.
I'm actually quite conscientious about communicating cancellations, understanding that the restaurant should not have to hold a table and lose that revenue. But in my experience a required deposit is imposed in order to encourage notifications and avoid no-shows--not as a punitive measure.
If Lauda's handling of this matter is any indication of their overall attitude toward customers, be forewarned!!
