Vanilla Restaurant is located in a refurbished 1872 stone windmill in the square in Firostefani and offers breathtaking views of the famous sunsets and the volcano of Santorini island. This white stone restaurant has a colorful courtyard and a terrace with a view which permits outdoor dining, besides which there are two rooms meant for indoor dining.
Although the cuisine at Vanilla is typical Greek, the diverse menu also covers dishes from the new world cuisine. Starting with cold appetizers like tarama, pepper sofrito, dolmades or tzatziki to warm appetizers like moussaka or fava beans, the menu includes a variety of seafood spaghetti or lasagna. The meat plate consists of lamb osobuco, chicken souvlaki, roasted pork or grilled veal filet, while the dessert menu consists of the traditional baklava, tiramisu, kadaifi, yogurt ice cream, cheesecakes and pies.
