The Byzantine Art Gallery in Marpissa Paros: In the center of the mountainous village of Marpissa visitors will find a small but very interesting museum: the Byzantine Art Gallery of Marpissa. It is located just behind the church of the Transfiguration of the Christ (Metamorphosis) and very close to the central square. It is painted white and features a wooden door, narrow windows and a marble statue of an archbishop.

The Byzantine Art Gallery of Marpissa includes many religious exhibits from the Byzantine and Post-Byzantine times. There you will find holy icons from the 15th and the 16th century, most of which were previously exposed in churches of the village, and an old epitaph from the Monastery of Agios Antonios in Kastro.

The Byzantine Art Museum is located in Marpissa Village.
