General information

Pounda (not to be confused with Pounda beach with the famous beach bar on the east side of the island) is a settlement with a beach and a harbor 9km south of Parikia.
It is situated right opposite Antiparos island and is the port that connects the two islands with frequent daily boat crossings.

Pounda is also known for being a major kitesurfing spot on Paros and one of the most popular in the Cyclades. The beach is long and sandy, making it ideal for set-up, launching and landing.
Furthermore, steady side shore winds blow offering the ideal conditions for kitesurfing sessions.
Kitesurfing schools and shops operate on the beach while cafes and hotels are also located in the wider region.
