Half-Day Cooking Class
This four-hour cooking class takes participants through the basics of traditional Naxian cuisine in a fun and interactive way. In addition, they have the opportunity to join in all the steps needed to prepare a delicious meal, from collecting the ingredients and making cheese to cooking the dishes.
The course takes place in Potamia village, in a family tavern, around 10 km from Naxos Town. A local establishment is definitely the best place to learn about cooking in the most interactive and fun way. All the dishes are prepared with local, fresh and organic ingredients, while the participants can pick the needed fruit and vegetables from the gardens themselves.
At the end of the lesson, guests have the chance to try out their creations accompanied by local wine, delicious starters and traditional music, creating the feeling of a real traditional Greek feast.
In addition, anyone who wishes to can walk with the hosts along the stream and familiarize themselves with the village and the natural beauty of the island. Furthermore, the experience becomes even more immersive, as guests can assist the locals in making cheese instead of just cooking.
