Naxos in a project about Mediterranean diet
Naxos, along with Majorca, Malta, Sicily, Cyprus and Corsica, is taking part in the TRIMED project about the Mediterranean diet. This project aims to investigate the three basics of the Mediterranean nutrition (bread, olive oil and wine) from the pre-industrial period till today and promote these local products throughout all Europe. It also aims to train restaurant owners to use such traditional products and techniques. This project will have been completed by September 2007.
