Naxos Skado Village
Skado Naxos: Skado is one of the smallest villages in Naxos, with a population of only 120 inhabitants. It is located in the north eastern side of Naxos, on the way from Stavros Keramotis to Apollonas, right after the village of Koronos. Built on the slopes of a mountain and surrounded by lush greenery, the nature of Skado is of wild beauty, ideal for trekking. The architecture is traditional with small stone houses and narrow paved paths. An interesting sight in Skado is the historical monument of the Greek War Resistance of the years 1941-1944.
