Naxos Kastraki Beach

General information

The beach of Kastraki in Naxos is located between Mikri Vigla (Sahara) and Glyfada beaches. It boasts stunning fine white sand with crystalline waters. The shore extends more than 3km, so it is perfect for those who enjoy walking by the sea.
The region is renowned for its natural and unspoiled beauty. Except for its charming sea and coast, the surrounding cedar trees play their part in the tranquil exotic ambiance that the area emits.

Kastraki is mainly non-organized, but a few sunbeds are available along the shore.
The beach is affected by the winds, so checking out the weather forecast before visiting is strongly recommended to enjoy it to the fullest.

A few accommodation options lie behind the beach, as well as a well-stocked mini market.

    Just ok
    Kastraki is pretty strange beach.
Good thing is that it is long and you can find your calm spot.
The "strange" bad thing is that it is too shallow and too windy. If you go later during day, expect some freezing.

One of the most famous restaurants of Naxos
Axiotisa is definitely one of the most famous restaurants of Naxos. The atmosphere is pleasant, the food is nice and the people there very kind.
You have to book in advance in August if you want to eat at a proper time.

    Nice and quiet restaurant
This is a restaurant I like much. It is simple but offers great food. It is located next to famous "Axiotisa" in Kastraki's main road. A great place to eat on your way back from Aliko.
