summer 24 Sep 2010Many stories to tellFar from civilization, this amazing lighthouse stands at the edge of a rock, facing the sea. It must be at least two centuries old, which makes me imagine all the stories that it must have seen: sea gulls coming and going, ships passing by, people looking at the sea, children playing around. This is a lovely spot of Mykonos and not very famous, so it is more likely that you will be alone or with few people as company. No bus goes to the lighthouse, you will have to rent a scooter/car to go. Also do not miss the dam of Marathi and the quiet beach of Panormos, only a few km from the lighthouse. What you need for a peaceful day in Mykonos.
