Location: Town

The Yannis Xidakis Jewelry, now named Byzantine was opened by Yannis Xidakis, a Mykonian jeweler, in 1992. The shop is located in Matogianni, the main street in the heart of Mykonos Town, and houses a rich collection of traditional Greek jewelry whose styles date back to the Byzantine era. They also offer other collections crafted on modern European styles. The shop has an elegant exterior and an equally impressive interior. While the exterior is in pristine white, typical of Cycladic style and made mandatory by town planning, the interior is done up in rich tones of beige complemented nicely by dark wood covered in rich orange fabrics.

The plain-glass display on the exterior of the shop gives a preview of what is to come. The Xidakis products range includes rings, bracelets, and necklaces decorated with semi precious stones or rough stones and fossils. They also offer amulets, crosses and eyes handcrafted in 14 and 18 carats, in yellow or white gold, plain, or inlaid with semi precious stones. Yannis Xidakis accepts orders for custom-made designs to suit individual tastes and preferences.
