Below, you can find all the needed information about the port of Mykonos (Tourlos port):
TransportationsFacilitiesMap

The port of Mykonos is also called Tourlos or the New Port. It is located in the eastern part of the island, only 3 km from Mykonos Town and 5 km from the airport.
Passenger ferries only arrive at Tourlos Port and connect Mykonos to several Cycladic islands and other destinations.

It is one of the busiest Cycladic ports since it receives numerous ferries and cruise ships on a daily basis. As of 2021, the New Port welcomes both conventional and high-speed ferries. Before that year, high-speed boats were docking at the old port.

Direct ferries are available between Mykonos and the following destinations:
Piraeus (Athens) | Rafina (Athens) | Santorini | Paros | Naxos | Tinos | Syros | Chios | Heraklion (Crete) and more.

Note: During the high season, the port can get overcrowded and increased traffic can be encountered around it. In some cases, ferry delays may also be inevitable. Be prepared and arrange your program accordingly.

Transportation options

Town: 3 km / 1.9 miles | Airport: 5 km / 3.1 miles | Platis Gialos: 7.5 km / 4.7 miles  | Psarou: 7 km / 4.3 miles

Seabus

The New Port is connected to Mykonos Town via the Sea Bus. Its station will be one of the first things to notice as soon as you arrive at the port. The Sea Bus is wheelchair accessible and its tickets cost €2 per person.
It will take you to the Old Port in Mykonos Town every 30 minutes and the duration of the ride is 8 minutes. It stops next to a bus station where you can take a KTEL Bus to other locations, including beaches and villages.

KTEL Buses

Another option is taking a KTEL bus to Mykonos Town. Buses are the most affordable way to move around. There are two stations in Mykonos Town, the "Old Port" and "Fabrika", and you will be able to use the bus’ luggage storage space for free.
Note that there are no night buses and some routes may only be seasonal. For more information, dial: (+30) 22890 26797

Taxis

Taking a taxi is also possible, although when the port is busy it is difficult to find an available one, especially at night time. Each taxi will allow up to 4 passengers and they will take you to any location. If the ride is long, the price will be high, too. If you would like to arrange a pick-up with a local driver in advance, please dial one of the following numbers: (+30) 22890 23700 or (+30) 22890 23400
A much better option than getting on a random taxi would be to book a pre-booked private transfer in advance and have a driver wait for you at the port.

Car Rentals

Alternatively, if you would like to have your own car in order to move around, car hire is very convenient and the companies usually offer numerous pick-up locations, including the port. Cars are not the only option though; you will be able to rent various types of other vehicles, such as ATVs, scooters, and more. It is best to avoid last-minute rentals.
In cooperation with the best local car rental agencies, we offer the best prices and our service is rated .

Note also that many hotels usually offer a shuttle service to their guests. Make sure to directly contact your hotel to arrange a transfer, if given the opportunity.

Facilities

At Tourlos Port, you will find ticket offices where you can get your pre-booked tickets if your company does not propose web check-in or buy them on-site.
There are ATM machines, a taxi station, car rental facilities, and yacht or boat rental facilities as well.
In addition, the bus station and the Sea Bus station are also located there.
In the area near the port, you will find a few taverns and restaurants, as well as several accommodation facilities.

Note: The beach of Tourlos is located nearby.
