Mykonos port

The New Port of Mykonos, also known as Tourlos, is located on the estern part of the island, 3 km from the center of Mykonos Town and 5 km from Mykonos International Airport.
It is one of the busiest Cycladic ports, since it receives numerous passenger ferries and cruise ships on a daily basis. As of 2021, the New Port is the only port receiving conventional and high speed ferries. Before that year, high speed boat wer docking at the old port.

Note: During the high season, the port can get overcrowded, with increased traffic around the port area. In some cases ferry delays may also be inevitable. Be prepared and arrange your program accordingly.

Port Connections & Vessels

Many other ports of Greece and the islands are connected to Mykonos through its port via direct ferry crossings, such as Piraeus & Rafina ports in Athens but also other Cycladic islands such as Santorini, Paros, Naxos, Tinos, and Syros, as well as Heraklion and Rethymno in Crete.
The vessel types which arrive at and depart from the New Port include passenger ferries, high-speed ferries, cruise ships, yachts, catamarans, and other passenger vessels.
Some of the ferry companies arriving at the New Port are Blue Star Ferries, Golden Star Ferries, Hellenic Seaways, Fast Ferries, Minoan Lines, and SeaJets.

How to arrive at/leave the port

Seabus

The New Port is connected to Mykonos Town via the Sea Bus. Its station will be one of the first things to notice as soon as you arrive at the port. The Sea Bus is wheelchair accessible and its tickets cost €2 per person.
It will take you to the Old Port in Mykonos Town every 30 minutes and the duration of the ride is 8 minutes. It stops next to a bus station where you you can take a KTEL Bus to other locations, including beaches and villages.

KTEL Buses

Another option is taking a KTEL bus directly at the New Port to reach Mykonos Town. There are two stations in Mykonos Town, the "Old Port" and "Fabrika", and you will be able to use the bus’ luggage storage space for free.
Note that there are no night buses and some routes may only be seasonal. Buses are the most affordable way to move around. Alternatively, dial the following number: (+30) 2289026797

Taxis

It is also possible to get a taxi at the port, although when the port is busy it is difficult to find an available one, especially at night time. Each taxi will allow up to 4 passengers and they will take you to any location, although if the ride is long, the price will be high. If you would like to arrange a pick-up with a local driver in advance, please dial one of the following numbers: (+30) 22890 23700 or (+30) 22890 23400
A much better option than getting on a random taxi would be to book a pre-booked private transfer in advance and have a driver waiting for you at the port.

Car Rentals

Alternatively, if you would like to have your own car in order to move around, car rentals are very convenient and the companies usually offer numerous pick-up locations, including the port. Cars are not the only option though; you will be able to rent various types of other vehicles, such as ATVs, scooters, and more. It is best to avoid last-minute rentals. Book your car rental with us!

Note also that many hotels usually offer a shuttle service to their guests. Make sure to directly contact your hotel to arrange a port transfer, if given the opportunity.

Port Facilities

At Tourlos Port, you will find ticket offices where you can get your pre-booked tickets if your company does not propose web check-in or buy them on-site.
There are ATM machines, a taxi station, car rental facilities, and yacht or boat rental facilities as well.
In addition, the bus station and the Sea Bus station are also located there.
In the area near the port, you will find a few taverns and restaurants, as well as several accommodation facilities.

Note: The beach of Tourlos is located nearby
