How to get to Houlakia Beach

There are many different ways to get to Houlakia from any location on the island.
Airport to Houlakia: 7.5 km / 4.6 miles | New Port to Houlakia: 3.2 km / 1.9 miles | Town to Houlakia: 6 km / 3.7 miles

Private transfers: We recommend using an online pre-booked transfer service, which provides transfer by taxi, minibus, or private VIP car and arranging a pickup directly from the port, airport, or your hotel. Car rental: There’s the option of renting a car and picking it up directly from the airport, port, or your hotel. Using a rental car allows visitors to discover Houlakia Beach and many other places of interest at their own pace.

Public transport: Agios Stefanos is located close to Houlakia Beach (a 20-minute walk). In Agios Stefanos lies the terminal of the bus route Tourlos (New Port) > Agios Stefanos. Several buses depart from Tourlos (New Port) to Agios Stefanos during the day. Itineraries might change according to the season. Check the official timetables here.
From Mykonos Airport to Houlakia: A bus station lies outside the main terminal building. The bus route Airport > New Port (approximately every 1.5 hours) takes visitors to Fabrika central station (second stop). From Fabrika, visitors should board another bus to reach Houlakia, following the route Tourlos > Agios Stefanos.
From Mykonos New Port (in Tourlos) to Houlakia: The bus station is located at the New Port of Mykonos, a 3-minute walk away from the passenger disembarkation area. From there, visitors who have arrived by ferry can reach Houlakia, following the route Tourlos > Agios Stefanos.
Tip: Since buses don’t always stop at every scheduled stop of their itinerary, our advice to visitors is to inform the driver about their final destination in advance.
