In brief, Mykonos airport receives domestic direct flights from Athens daily and direct and connecting flights from abroad, mainly during the high season. To get to Mykonos from other islands, the ferry is the only option.

Mykonos International Airport (IATA code: JMK, ICAO code: LGMK) is located on the southwestern side of the island, around 3 km from Mykonos Town and 3 km also from the port.
It is one of the busiest airports in the Cyclades, as it receives numerous domestic and international flights on a daily basis, especially during the high season.
It started operating in 1971 and was renovated in 2021. Its design combines the Cycladic style with modern architecture.

Planes & Helicopters

Both charter and commercial flights connect Mykonos to other destinations in Greece, as well as several metropolitan areas in Europe. Olympic Air, Aegean Airlines, and Sky Express are the national companies for domestic flights, connecting Mykonos to the cities of Athens and Thessaloniki. Discover the domestic and international airlines that fly to Mykonos, including companies that offer low-cost options. Keep in mind that international flight connections are only seasonal.
In addition to the scheduled airline flights, the airport also receives private jets, helicopters, smaller aircraft, and other charter flights from Greece and other countries.
The airports of Naxos, Paros, Santorini, and Syros lie very close to one another, due to the small distances between the islands. However, direct flights from/to Mykonos International Airport are not available. The only way to get from Mykonos to another Cycladic island (and vice versa) is by a connecting flight with one stop at the International Airport of Athens.

Tips: Keep in mind that the airport can get quite crowded during the summer season, leading to increased traffic in the area.
Arrange your program accordingly and make sure to be there at least one hour in advance.

Note: There are no direct flights from the USA, Canada, or Australia.
