Mykonos Mersini beach

Information about Mersini beach

Mersini Beach in Mykonos: Mersini (also known as Mirsini) is a secluded beach situated in the northeast part of Mykonos Island. It has turquoise, shallow waters, and a lovely sandy coast, which is divided into two parts by some rocks forming two different beaches. Mersini Beach is an ideal relaxing destination for those who are tired of Mykonos' high pace and wild parties as it is quite private compared to most beaches on the island.

However, Mersini is not suitable for people seeking comforts and beach facilities, such as sunbeds and umbrellas, because it is an unorganized beach. Therefore, most people usually bring with them an umbrella or a hat along with their beach mat when visiting Mersini Beach. Due to its secluded location, the beach is often frequented by nudists who enjoy swimming in the crystal-clear waters far away from the Mykonian overcrowded popular beaches that attract thousands of tourists who wish to have fun and to party at the seaside bars and clubs of the Island.

Mersini is located 12 km north of Mykonos Town and 850 meters away from another beautiful and relaxing beach, Fokos. Unlike most of the beaches on the island, there are no taverns, restaurants, and bars nearby, so those who plan to visit it must have a bottle of water and a snack with them.
