General information

Mersini Beach in Mykonos (also known as Mirsini) is a secluded beach situated in the northeast part of Mykonos island. It boasts turquoise, shallow waters, and a lovely sandy coast divided into two parts by some rocks forming two different beaches. Mersini is an ideal relaxing destination for those tired of Mykonos' high pace and wild parties, as it is quite private compared to most beaches on the island.

However, Mersini doesn't fit for people seeking comfort and beach facilities, such as sunbeds and umbrellas, because it is unorganized. Therefore, most people usually bring an umbrella or a hat along with their beach mat when visiting the beach. Due to its secluded location, the beach is often frequented by nudists who enjoy swimming in crystal-clear waters far away from the Mykonian overcrowded beaches that attract thousands of tourists.

Mersini lies around 900 meters away from another beautiful and relaxing beach, Fokos. Unlike most beaches on the island, there are no taverns, restaurants, or bars nearby, so those who plan to visit it must remember to bring a bottle of water and a snack.
