Milos Scuba Diving

The sea triangle between the three islands of Milos, Kimolos, and Polyegos offers fantastic diving experiences. With many old shipwrecks, interesting reefs, rich flora and fauna and also with rocky islets of volcanic geological background, this place is a paradise for divers. Although Milos diving is not much developed as organized sports, instead there are a couple of diving centers that offer courses, rent the necessary equipment and organize boat trips in diving sites, which are many around the island.

Interesting Milos diving sites include the caves of Papafrangas and Sarakiniko, the Labyrinth of Kleftiko, the Island of Pirates, the caves of the sulfur mines, and the shipwrecks of Agios Georgios and Africa. Diving trips from Milos to the neighboring island of Kimolos are also organized to explore the Caves of Poseidon, a wrecked airplane and a submerged church. Since the triangle of Milos-Kimolos-Polyegos is a breeding place for the monk seal Monachus Monachus, divers may meet such seals during their dive.
