Papafrangas beach in Milos has been included by Sunday Times among the 15 hottest European beaches for 2010, as published in the site of the newspaper. In fact, the writer mentioned that although Milos is one of the least known Cyclades islands, yet it has some of the most stunning beaches. He also made reference to the geological diversity of Milos landscape, the weird rock formations, the secret lagoons and the crystal-clear fiords. At Papafragas, a narrow strip of sand leads down to an aquatic chasm beneath high white cliffs. He commented that this beach is ideal for snorkelling, for wild swimmers and jumpers. The same article also included another Greek beach among the top 15 of the world. The calm beach of Panormos in Mykonos is highly recommended as a gateway from the noisy beaches of southern Mykonos and as a laid-back hippie and nudist beach. As this beach is located on the northern side of the island, people do not usually go there, which is probably the main reason for its beauty.
