Milos Vani beach
Vani Beach Milos: Cape Vani is located on the north western spot of Milos. It can be visited through a track road from Emporios or by boat that makes the tour of the island.
There is a small beach in Vani that is rarely visited. The spot is mostly famous for its history, as this is where the old manganese mines, that worked under the French company Serpieri and Cie and employed about 200 workers.
The manganese mines opened in 1898 and a large part of the production was sent to Europe. They stopped working in 1920 because after the end of the First World War the needs for manganese were limited.
