Things to do in Milos are not many but the island is gradually developing is the section of wild and water sports. Although Milos is great for windsurfing and kite surfing, there were not organized windsurfing centres on the island. Only recently has such a center opened in Milos.

As the sea bottom around Milos island is rich in reefs and old wrecks, another interesting activity on the island is scuba diving. In fact, there are few diving centres in Milos that offer courses and organize diving trips in close uninhabited islets.

As the inland of Milos is unexplored, another popular activity in jeep touring. The dirt roads will lead you to secluded beaches for swim, old mines, abandoned churches and mountaintops with breathtaking view to the Aegean Sea.

In the past, the sea cave at Papafragas, on the island of Milos, served as a pirate base. Today, its crystal clear, turquoise waters await those who dare to trek down the treacherous trails to its paradise. Despite the hot and humid weather, everyone in our tour group played it safe, choosing to snap photos instead of bones!

On a quiet street in the seaside town of Adamantas, on the island of Milos, I came across a simple home, fronted by this old, weathered door. Paint stripped, no doubt, from its close proximity to the salty sea, the metal hardware, so far, seemed to be holding up. But more importantly, the address, which appeared newly stenciled, lead me to believe that there is still plenty of life behind it.
