Kythnos Potamia beach

General information

Potamia Beach is part of the northeastern coastline of Kythnos. It is a secluded beach with an untouched landscape, ideal for people seeking tranquility and contact with nature.

Potamia’s coast is sandy and its waters are clear, deep, and blue. Unlike the nearby Agios Sostis Beach, there are many tamarisk trees a short distance from the sea, under which visitors can sit to protect themselves from the sun, as there are no umbrellas on the beach. The beach lacks all kinds of amenities, so visitors are advised to bring water and snacks.

The beach is accessible by car, but you need to be careful for about 1 km before you reach it, as it is a dirt road with some rough spots.
