Kythnos Flampouria beach

General information

Flampouria Beach is a quite long beach on the western side of Kythnos. The unique thing about it is that it is in fact divided into two beaches, a smaller and a larger one, because of a protruding small piece of land. Atop this tiny cape stands the whitewashed church of Panagia Flampouriani.

Around the larger beach, one will find a few accommodations and a cafe, while some sunbeds and umbrellas are available on the shore. On the other hand, the smaller beach is completely unorganized. The shore on both beaches has tamarisk trees offering shade under their foliage.

It is important to note that there is a slippery stab in the first meters of the waters that bathers must pass to reach the sandy seabed.
