General information

Agios Ioannis is an isolated beach with a relaxing atmosphere on the northeastern coast of Kythnos. Essentially, it is two non-organized coves that extend east of Agios Stefanos. In fact, a hiking trail connects these two lovely places.

The first cove is small and has a sandy shore. A large rock sits in the middle of it, dividing the beach into two smaller beaches. It is the definition of a remote place, and it is rare to encounter people there.

The second cove is larger and well-protected from winds. The area's name comes from the chapel of Agios Ioannis Theologos (Saint John the Theologian). The coast is about 200 meters long and hosts tamarisks that offer shade to visitors.

The homonym settlement comprises a few taverns, studios, and holiday houses, all found close to the two coves.
