General information

The small Agia Irini Beach is placed on the northeast coast of Kythnos, in the namesake Agia Irini village. It is a sandy beach that can be reached from the seaside resort of Loutra in around 5 minutes (by car).

The beach is partly organized, as there is a beach bar offering parasols and sunbeds for rent, yet there is quite enough space for people who prefer laying their towels and carrying their own beach equipment. The seaside tamarisks are a great alternative to parasols, offering free shade under their branches.

The quaint chapel of Agia Irini (Saint Irene), the protector of the village, lies on the edge of the shore. On the other edge, one will find waterfront restaurants serving delicious food made from fresh raw materials.
