Koufonisia, the small cluster of islands to the south of Naxos, supports its economy mainly on fishing, so it is perfectly natural to expect a day of celebration dedicated to the farmers of the... sea. 

Time to celebrate the Greek way!

The morning of August 15th, Skopelitis ferry transfers the visitors to Kato Koufonisi, where a sacred liturgy is taking place in the church located in the mole. This is the only day of the year that the ship is serving this route.
