The Church of Agios Georgios was built in 1834 and a reconstruction took place in 1887.
The Orthodox Christian basilica is dedicated to Saint George, the patron saint of the island and it is the biggest church in Iraklia.
It celebrates annually on April 23rd and festivities are carried out by the worshippers.
The church is quite small, with a traditional style, whitewashed walls, a blue dome and a bell tower.
It is surrounded by nature and you can get there by car.
