Located in Agios Georgios village, Araklia is an authentic Aegean cuisine restaurant. It was created by experienced chef Yiannis Gavalas, whose family comes from the island of Irakleia, even though he was born in Athens and has lived all over Greece.
Actually, the restaurant is housed in the family’s former home, retaining its original layout for the most part. This is why its interior decoration is also reminiscent of traditional Cycladic homes, as many objects come from the old house. Additionally, the outdoor sitting space lies on a charming balcony that offers breathtaking views of the Aegean Sea and the surrounding areas.
The restaurant offers Greek, and specifically Cycladic, cuisine. Guests will find a variety of meat, seafood, as well as vegetarian recipes, all prepared with fresh ingredients acquired from various islands of the Cyclades, guaranteeing their high quality. Apart from main dishes, it also serves salads, soups, starters and some unique desserts. Of course, drinks and refreshments could not be missing from the menu.
The restaurant operates from May to October every year.
