The Church of Agios Ioannis Spiliotis lies in the Cave of Antiparos, which is also known as the Cave of Agios Ioannis. It is located in the southern part of the island.
Dedicated to Saint John, the chapel displays the Cycladic style of architecture. Even though its original construction date is unknown, it has been restored, with its renovation taking place in 1714. You will encounter it at the entrance of the cave along with another small church which is a few hundred years older and dedicated to the Life-Giving Spring, the Virgin Mary.
Annual celebrations take place on the 8th of May to honor the saint, including traditional feasts with local food.
