4th Antiparos Road Race for Health 2015

Jan 01, 1970 — Jan 01, 1970 • Category: Events

The 4th Antiparos Road Race for Health is taking place on Saturday, May 16th 2015, in the small and lovely island of Antiparos, Cyclades. This 24.4 km race is organized by the local Athletic and Cultural Society Antiparos En Plo and attracts every year hundreds of runners on the island.
The long 24.4 km route starts from the Old Pier in Antiparos port and follows the southern route by the sea, until the settlement of Agios Georgios with the lovely view over Despotiko island. The runners return following the same route (asphault) until they reach the finishing line, again at the old pier. Six "refueling" stations will be set along the route.
Apart from this long distance route, there will be three more parallel events:
- the 10 km race, which starts from the port, crosses the village by the sea until the region of Glyfa and returns in the same road
- a walking 10km race (non-competitive), that starts from the port and follows a path around the town of Antiparos
- a fun 2km race for children
