Discover Chora
AGIOS GEORGIOS
Our recommendations:
• Bonatsa house
A few hotels are also found close to some beautiful beaches. Agios Georgios is a nice beach 10km away from Chora.
A few hotels are located here that offer nice sea views and close proximity to the beach. The settlement has a few restaurants and a serene atmosphere.
ANTIPAROS, THE ISLAND FOR PEACE & PRIVACY
Antiparos is a small satellite island just a few miles away from Paros. The two islands are connected with frequent daily ferries and boat taxis. Although day tours from Paros are very popular, many travellers choose Antiparos as their final holiday destination in order to enjoy its laid-back atmosphere.
Antiparos has gained the attention of tourists due to its beautiful turquoise waters, sandy beaches, and its relaxed and cosmopolitan atmosphere. The island used to be a hippie paradise and still retains an alternative side. Chora is the main and only village on the island and the port. Beach settlements are also found on the coastline of Antiparos. Agios Georgios and Soros are some of them.
Most accommodation options in Antiparos are small, family-run units, rooms-to-let, and apartments. They are either new or recently renovated structures and consist of well-equipped rooms, a small kitchenette, and a terrasse offering a beautiful sea view. If you are looking for a lavish stay, you will find a few luxury hotels in Antiparos but on the other hand, they are a good choice for luxury villas.
Due to its size, a car in Antiparos is not necessary especially if you book a hotel conveniently located. Transportation can be made by bus, or on foot. Note that some hotels are closer to a beach than others, but proximity to the sea is not an issue since all Antiparos hotels are just a short walking distance away from a fantastic beach.
Due to the limited number of hotels and the island’s popularity from July to September, early booking is strongly recommended. Hotels sell out very quickly and it is impossible to find lodging if you wait until the last minute. Booking your hotel 4 to 5 months in advance is strongly recommended.
