Located in the Town of Antiparos, Vassilenas Blue proposes modern Greek cuisine dishes. From 2022, it is the island outpost of the highly acclaimed and award-winning Vassilenas restaurant of Athens, established in 1920. They are both run by the third-generation owners of the same family. They promise to bring to the island the same high-quality flavors and exquisite service for which they have been so praised in Athens.
Set in a beautiful yard featuring lush plants and discreet lighting that create a cozy and charming atmosphere, the restaurant integrates elements of Cycladic architecture. A large olive tree stands right in the middle of the sitting area as a symbol of hospitality and Mediterranean cuisine. The dishes they propose are inspired by traditional Greek cuisine and rendered in a modern and creative way. Fresh ingredients are combined with modern techniques and innovative ideas to produce unique creations that have been winning prizes year after year. It mainly specializes in fish, seafood and pescatarian recipes, although meat dishes are also available. Daily specials are proposed depending on the catch of the day. The signature dish here, however, is the taramosalata (fish roe spread) which has been prepared with the same secret recipe since the 1950s! A variety of starters, salads and desserts have also found their way to the menu. All the dishes are prepared with fresh ingredients that are acquired from farms all over Greece, as well as products that are exclusive to the area.
