The permanent residents of Anafi deal mostly with agriculture, cattle breeding, and fishing. Therefore, apart from the fresh fish, the most important product of Anafi is the thyme honey that is produced in the barren countryside of the island.
In Anafi, you can also try delicious local recipes, like kakavia (fish soup), fava, cheese made by the locals and spoon sweets of berry and fig. The products of Anafi are very similar to the products of Santorini due to the same volcanic backgrounds of these two islands.
