Although the seabed of Amorgos has always been very rich, organized scuba diving has recently started to develop on the island. In fact, a few Amorgos diving centers have opened in the tourist places of the island and offer diving courses for all ages and diving trips around the wild coastline of the island.
An interesting diving spot is, for example, the beach of Agios Pavlos with an underwater cave full of colorful sponges and fishes. Another diving trip is the shipwreck of the cargo vessel Marina 3 that wrecked in 1981 at the close islet of Skinopi, a few minutes by boat from Amorgos.
