Located about 4,5 km south of Chora, on the way to Kamari and Arkesini, Agios Georgios Valsamitis stands on top of a hill, overlooking the valley beneath and the sea.
The chapel is white-washed and has a paved courtyard. Inside, the atmosphere is so solemn, with beautiful icons and a lovely iconostasis. It is a three-aisled basilica with an arched roof and a tall bell tower. Right next to the church, there is an old watermill.
