Raki Festival

This is definitely one of the most interesting summer festivals in Amorgos that you shouldn't miss!
Raki Festival takes place every year in Katapola's main square. It gathers a great number of visitors who want to try the local raki, a kind of homemade liqueur that is usually served as an aperitif. The night of the festival, raki is served along with delicious "pasteli", a Greek sweet made of sesame and honey.
We strongly suggest you buy some raki from the local shops in the island before you leave, as Amorgos is the only place that still produces it.
