Pasteli Feast Amorgos 2019

Welcome to one of the most delicious Greek events!
On the first Sunday after August the 15th, the scent of “pasteli”, a Greek sesame seed/honey bar, is all over the island! Every year, Cultural Association “Semonidis” organizes the “Pasteli Feast”, one of the most delicious Amorgos events.
At Loza Square in Chora, a melting pot is prepared and the process of making the pasteli begins. All stages are presented in detail and viewers learn the slightest secret!
The Amorgian pasteli made in front of everyone’s eyes is then served on top of a lemon leaf, as Amorgian tradition dictates.
In the company of “Psimeni Raki” and musical instruments, the island feast lasts until the early hours.
