Amorgos International Tourism Film Festival 2024

Organized by the Women’s Cultural Association if Amorgos in collaboration with the Municipality of Amorgos and the South Aegean Region, the 15th Amorgos International Tourism Film Festival is returning between November 14 and 19, 2024, presenting the very best of tourism and travel videos.

Since its establishment in 2010, this initiative has evolved into a highly recognized institution aiming to contribute to the development of domestic and foreign tourism through the use of audiovisual material, as well as to promote the need for sustainable development. It is a member of the Vienna-based International Committee of Tourism Film Festivals (CIFFT) and is also endorsed by such prestigious foundations as the World Tourism Organization, the Caribbean Tourism Organization and Centro America.

The event will host participants not only from Greece but also from the USA, Canada, Italy, Spain, France, Portugal and Georgia, among others. Besides the screenings, there will also be a series of high-level lectures and workshops attracting students and professors from all over the world.

Moreover, the 21st YPERIA Conference for Culture will run parallel to the Tourism Film Festival, focusing on aspects of the cultural heritage of the Cyclades, such as the local gastronomy, cinema and customs. Thus, the festival promises several surprises for participants and visitors alike, offering them a unique chance to sample traditional products and discover the landscapes and experiences that, year after year, provide filmmakers and art lovers with an inexhaustible source of inspiration.
