Amorgos Kamari

General information

Kamari in Amorgos is a mountainous village 10 km away from the capital, hidden in the area of Kato Meria. The village has preserved its traditional character and has enchanting stone houses with beautiful yards. Within a distance of 2 km from the village of Kamari is Mouros, a magnificent secluded beach.

Kamari is one of the most peaceful regions of Amorgos but with special interest. Small Cycladic churches spread in the surrounding area which is also great for hiking. Nearby is the ancient acropolis of Arkesini and the remains of the Hellenistic Tower.
