The beautiful lake Kournas, the only natural lake on Crete, with its chrystal clear water! In the background are the White Mountains, well covered in snow in winter. On the right side you can see the tops of the trees in the lake, blooming with springflowers. In summer the trees stand firmly on the sand, but now the rains have been so abundant that only the tops of the trees are above the water: they look like floating, purple bushes! — marian49 14 14

I loved the colour of this freshwater lake called Lake Kournas - it\'s located 4km outside of Georgiopolis resort, Crete. It mad a nice change to swim in freshwater!
