The international Chania Film Festival, taking place from late October to early November, showcases a wide variety of short and feature-length films from Greece and abroad. It is the ideal cultural event for cinema lovers traveling in Crete, including screenings, exhibitions, workshops and other events.

The Crete Marathon 2023 will be a full-day running event, including a full 42km marathon, a 10km race, a 5km race, and a 2.5km race, all near the town of Chania.

The Graviera Festival is organized annually on August 15th since 1985. It takes place in the traditional village of Sfakia. Locals and visitors alike taste local delicacies and wine and dance until the early morning hours.
