A gem of a restaurant tucked away in the beautiful village of Alikianos, south of Chania Town, Pemptousia is a family restaurant surrounded by the green valley of Keritis river. This tavern serves traditional Cretan cuisine since 1978.

The menu, popular for its authenticity and diachronic value, was initially designed by Koula Makrinaki, the current owner's mother. Pemptousia Tavern serves a selection of specials, including salads with local production, grilled dishes and daily specials. The Cretan food is prepared with recipes that have passed on from several generations back. A collection of Greek desserts are available in the restaurant including loukoumades, honey cake, fresh fruits and halvas.
