General information

The beach of Stavros in the northern region of Chania is a wonderful seashore filled with thick, coarse sand and fantastic seaside rocks! It has clear waters with gorgeous reflections on its water surface, as well as a rocky seabed, making it an excellent snorkeling destination for the entire family!

Stavros is well-organized, featuring lots of sun lounger pairs and sun umbrellas for rent, along with an array of nearby bar and snack spots, while it also has a lifeguard for any emergency situation! Plus, Stavros is quite a popular destination and its bare land on the eastern side of the bay will be forever well-known since it is the location for the Academy Award nominated movie Zorba the Greek, starring Anthony Quinn and Alan Bates!
