Chania Nopigia beach

General information

Stretching around 6 kilometers east of Kissamos, Nopigia is a long sandy beach with shallow azure waters. In front of the homonymous village, the beach is equipped with umbrellas, sunbeds and all the necessary amenities, while the settlement offers access to taverns and accommodations. Towards its easternmost edge, though, it gets more rocky and secluded. Overall, Nopigia lends itself to quiet, relaxing holidays by the sea.

Within a short distance from the beach, following the way to Keleni, visitors will also find the ruins of the ancient city of Mithymna and the old church of Agios Panteleimonas. Moreover, within 200 meters from the road leading to Nopigia village, there is a cave known as Rizospilios, which is traversed by an underground river.
