Tinos island

Although it is mostly famous for the miracle-working church of Virgin Mary, Tinos is also an island for relaxing family vacations. The beaches on the southern side of Tinos have clean water and they are protected from strong winds. Worth to visit are the mountainous villages of the countryside that stand out for the traditional vibes and the picturesque architecture. Scattered in the inland of Tinos are lovely chapels and dovecotes.

Ikaria island

Paxi island

Patmos island

Folegandros island

Simi island

The tiny island of Symi is regularly visited as a day trip from Rhodes or for a short summer break. The main village is spread amphitheatrically around a port and offers impressive view to the Aegean Sea. In short distance from the village, there are small beaches with clean water. The most important sightseeing of Symi is the Monastery of Panormitis, on the southern side of the island.

Alonissos island

Alonissos charms visitors with the relaxing atmosphere and the green background. Less busy than Skiathos and Skopelos, this island has lovely seaside villages that provide a romantic setting in the evenings. A walk around Chora, constructed on the slopes of a mountain, gives great view to the Aegean and to the traditional life of the locals.

Serifos island

An island unspoiled by mass tourism, Serifos contains all the beauty of Cyclades: picturesque village constructed on the hilltop, clean beaches and amazing view to the Aegean Sea. Koufonisia island

Skyros island

Skyros is geographically located just in the centre of the Aegean and opposite the island of Evia. This is the least tourist developed islands of Sporades and receives mostly Greek visitors. Kythnos island

Although it is only two hours ferry ride from Athens, Kythnos is not a touristic island. Due to its close distance to the mainland, it is mostly frequented by Athenians in summer weekends. With two picturesque villages, Chora and Driopida, and nice, secluded beaches, Kythnos is a lovely place for short break. The most famous beach of Kythnos is Kolona, which is actually a narrow stretch of land dividing the sea in two sides.

Elafonissos island
45 | Elafonissos island (Peloponnese)

A tiny island on the southern side of Peloponnese, just below Laconia, Elafonissos is famous for its Carribean-like beaches. With exotic crystal water and soft sand on the shore, this island is very popular for camping. The most famous beach is Simos, which is actually a long strech of sand dividing the sea in two parts.
