Two days tour to Delphi, from Athens
Special Offer: 10.00% discount for early booking (-60 days).
General Description
Day 1:
We start our tour driving from Athens through the area of Boetia, passing through the towns of Thebes, Levadia, and Arachova.
Finally, we arrive in Delphi, an archaeological site of high importance. In ancient Greece this place was believed to be the centre of the world. During the classical period the sanctuary of Delphi gained great reputation because of Pythia, the oracle who used to consult people about crucial issues. The archaeological site of Delphi has now been declared as a World Heritage Site. Here you will have the chance to admire ancient remains, like the Temple of Apollo, the Treasury of the Athenians and the Ancient Theatre. Being perched on the slopes of Mount Parnassus, surrounded by a verdant natural landscape, this place will definitely seduce you!
We visit the Archaeological Museum, which hosts Ancient Greek sculpture masterpieces, including the bronze Charioteer and the Sphinx.
The afternoon is free. Dinner and overnight in Delphi.
Day 2:
The entire morning you’re free to explore the modern village of Delphi, take photographs, and relax.
We return to Athens following the same route.
