General Description

During this half-day afternoon tour, we’ll explore Athens city center and the most important archaeological sites of Athens.

The first stop of our tour will be the Panathenaic Stadium, also known as Kallimarmaro Stadium, where the first modern Olympic Games took place in 1896. We’ll make a brief stop there for photos. This is also the place where the opening ceremony of the Athens Olympics 2004 took place.

After our visit to the Panathenaic Stadium, we’ll continue our bus tour passing by the Presidential residence, the Temple of Olympian Zeus, the Arch of Hadrian, and the Hellenic Parliament in Syntagma Square. During our tour, we’ll also see the beautiful Neoclassical trilogy on Panepistimiou Avenue: the Academy, the University of Athens, and the National Library.

Our tour will end with a visit to the Acropolis Hill, the trademark of Greece and masterpiece of the Classical Times. There, we’ll get the chance to visit the Propylaea, the Temple of Athena Nike, the Erechtheion and, of course, the gorgeous temple of Parthenon.

The tour starts at 15:00 and ends at 18:30.
