Athens city tour with Acropolis in the afternoon
Explore the city centre and the most important archaeological sites of Athens in this half-day afternoon tour. The tour takes place in a modern, air-conditioned bus and is accompanied by our expert guides who will narrate the history of all sights that you will visit.
The first stop of the tour is the Panathenaic Stadium, also known as Kallimarmaro Stadium, where the first modern Olympic Games took place in 1896. We take a short stop there for photos. This is also the place where the opening ceremony of Athens Olympics 2004 took place.
After the Panathenaic Stadium, we continue our bus tour and pass by the Presidential Residence, the Temple of Olympian Zeus, the Arch of Hadrian and the Hellenic Parliament in Syntagma Square, the very center of Athens. We also see the impressive Neoclassical trilogy on Panepistimiou Avenue: the Academy, the University of Athens and the National Library.
Our tour ends with a visit to the Acropolis Hill, the symbol of Greece and masterpiece of the Classical Times: see the Propylaea, the Temple of Athena Nike, the Erechtheion and, most of all, the gorgeous temple of Parthenon.
The tour starts at 15:00 and ends at 18:30.
