Technopolis (Gazi) is an industrial museum and a major cultural venue hosting numerous exhibitions, seminars, music concerts, and other cultural activities. It is situated in the city's former gasworks, founded in 1857.
The Technopolis of Athens focuses on promoting culture such as music, dance, theatre and performing arts, plastic and applied arts as well as innovation and entrepreneurship. Furthermore, it holds educational programs for children and runs temporary exhibitions throughout the year.
It is a buzzing hub for all Athenians located in the area of Gazi, near Keramikos metro station. There is a museum, exhibition halls, shops, playgrounds as well as the world-famous "Dinner in the sky" concept restaurant.
Last but not least, its most popular event is the Athens Jazz Festival that takes place every May with music bands from all over the world performing on its stage.
